Colour and the City

So finally I’ve been reunited with Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda,  my style consultants for years now, but also it felt real good to be inspired again by the interiors, the fabrics, the colours and the attitude.  There has been negative press surrounding this movie from the start, but if you watch Sex in the City for what it’s really worth and appreciated the fashion paired with fab design and of course ‘the shoes’ then you would of been visually blown away by this second go at it.

Carrie has been cheating on fashion with furniture and she picks em’ like her shoes, only the best!  The wallpaper is lavish and rich, the foyer displays a beautiful chocolate bird print by Katie Ridder found at Holland & Sherry New York, balanced perfectly in the master bedroom with a creamy gray Rococo damask from Cole & Son, inset with wall details to make any carpenter proud.  The living room features a gorgeously masculine navy blue Montauk made wool-mohair fabric blend sofa,  hugging each side of it are two 1940s vintage T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings designed arm chairs, actually for sale and could be yours for $16,000. The whole apartment is a blend of His & Her style clean lined classic furniture, paired with fun clourful pillows and area rugs from The Rug Company.

On to -the not so Carrie- super modern kitchen, lining the walls are waves of aqua blue tiles from no other, Ann Sacks tile & stone, in the dining room a Black stained mahogany table seated with custom made and upholstered with a cream graphic print  from Lee Jofa, hanging overhead a round iodized metal chandelier, movie set ready.

Then to top off all the beauty, the ladies hop on a private airplane that only billionaires can dream off and arrive in Aru Dhabi for an exotic array of colourful fabrics, high end Moroccan hotels and a picnic under silk chiffon in the middle of the dessert delivered by camel back. WOW!
